Bans on ritual slaughter

Okay kiddo, so some people like to eat meat but also want to follow certain religious rules when they prepare it. And this is where the issue of ritual (religious) slaughter bans come in. These bans mean that these people are not allowed to prepare or eat the meat in the way that their religion says they should.

For example, in Jewish and Muslim communities, they have to slaughter the animal in a certain way and say special prayers. But some countries have said that this is not a humane way of killing animals, so they made it illegal.

Some people believe it's important to follow these religious rules for preparing their food, while others believe it's more important to make sure the animals are treated humanely. It's a complicated issue and there are people with different opinions.
