ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bare-handed Pelota First League

Okay kiddo, have you ever played catch with a ball? So, in the Basque Country of Spain and parts of France, there's a game called pelota that's kind of like that. But instead of a big fluffy ball, they use a small, hard ball that people throw and hit with their hands!

Now, some really good players decided to start a special league where they play this game without any gloves or protective gear on their hands. That means they catch and hit the ball with their bare hands!

It's kind of like playing catch with a really small, hard ball, but these players are really good at it and can make some super cool plays. And it's important to remember that even though they don't wear gloves, they have a lot of experience and training to make sure they don't hurt themselves.

So, that's what the bare-handed pelota first league is all about - some really skilled players playing a unique and challenging version of a fun game. Pretty cool, huh?
