Barnsley fern

A barnsley fern is a type of drawing made using math. It is made up of a bunch of tiny leaves. To make the barnsley fern drawing, the computer follows a set of instructions, or a "recipe," that tells it which leaves to draw and how to arrange them. Each leaf is drawn using a special type of math called fractal geometry. Fractal geometry is a way of drawing shapes that are made up of smaller and smaller copies of themselves. Because of this, barnsley ferns look a lot like real ferns!
