Barristers' clerk

A barrister's clerk is kind of like a helper for a special type of lawyer called a barrister. Lawyers who are barristers work in courts and help people with legal problems. But sometimes, they need a little help with all the things they have to do, like getting paperwork ready or setting up meetings.

That's where a barrister's clerk comes in. They help the barrister with all of those things. They talk to the barrister's clients on the phone, make sure important papers are ready on time, and even help the barrister get ready for court by making sure they have all the information they need.

It's kind of like having a helper when you're doing your homework. The barrister is like the big kid who is really good at homework and the barrister's clerk is the little kid who helps the big kid by getting them pencils and paper and other things they need to do their homework right.
