Bartholin's gland

Bartholin's gland is a special part in the body of women that is located next to the entrance of the vagina. It makes a little bit of fluid that helps keep the area moisturized and slippery so that sex and other activities do not hurt or damage the area.

Sometimes, this gland can become blocked, which means the fluid cannot come out. This can make a woman feel uncomfortable, and sometimes even painful. Doctors can help by draining the fluid and giving medicine to help the gland return to normal.

It is important to take good care of the area around Bartholin's gland by keeping it clean and healthy, and seeking help when needed.
