Barycenter

A barycenter is a point where objects meet and balance each other out. It's like a game of tug-of-war where the two teams are evenly matched and neither side can pull the other: the point where they meet is the barycenter. It can also be thought of like a see-saw, where the two sides are perfectly balanced over a certain point. In space, this point can be the exact middle between two orbiting objects, like the Sun and the Earth. The two objects both pull the other towards them, but in the end, their combined mass creates a balance and the barycenter is where THAT balance point is located.
