ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Batch production

Batch production is a way to make things in large groups. Instead of making one item at a time, you make lots of them together. Think of it like baking cookies. If you wanted to make just one cookie, you would measure out the ingredients and mix everything together. But if you were baking batches of cookies, you would measure out the ingredients for all of them at once and mix them together to make a big bowl of cookie dough. Then you can scoop out the cookie dough to make lots of cookies all at once. Companies use batch production when they make things like cars, clothes, and toys so they can make many of them quickly.
