Bathyscaphe

A bathyscaphe is like a super cool underwater elevator that takes people to see very deep parts of the ocean. It is a tiny submarine that can fit only a few people inside. Scientists use it to explore the ocean and discover new things about animals, plants, and other things down there.

The bathyscaphe is made up of three parts. The first part is the big metal ball – this is where people sit. The metal ball is strong and keeps people safe while they are underwater. The second part is the long cable that attaches the metal ball to the big ship on the surface of the ocean. The cable is very strong because it has to hold a lot of weight. The third part is the little propellers that help move the bathyscaphe underwater, like a boat.

When people go down in a bathyscaphe, they have to wear special clothes because it is very cold and dark down there. People also have to bring oxygen because they cannot breathe the air under the ocean. Inside the bathyscaphe, people have big windows so they can see everything around them. They use special lights to see what is happening in the dark ocean.

The bathyscaphe is very important for scientists because it helps them learn more about the ocean which covers most of the earth. Scientists want to know what kind of animals, plants, and other things are down there. They also want to know how the ocean affects the weather and the environment. So, the bathyscaphe helps them explore and make new discoveries about the ocean.
