Battle Creek Sanitarium

So, Battle Creek Sanitarium was a big building where people with different types of problems went to get help. It was like a big hospital or a spa, where they could get treatments to feel better.

The Sanitarium was created by a man called Dr. John Kellogg who believed that you could make people healthier by doing things like exercising, eating healthy food, getting enough sleep, and not smoking. He thought that if people did all these things, they would be less likely to get sick and would feel better.

People who went to Battle Creek Sanitarium would follow these rules and also do things like take baths, get massages, and even spend time in the sun. The doctors and nurses there would help them with this and make sure they were doing everything right.

The Sanitarium was really popular and lots of famous people went there to feel better. But eventually, other types of hospitals became more popular and the Sanitarium wasn't used as much.

Today, Battle Creek Sanitarium is closed, but people still remember it as a place where you could go to feel better and where doctors cared about helping people to be healthy.
