Battle of Akhaltsikhe (1853)
Once upon a time, a very long time ago when your great-great-great grandparents were young, there was a big battle called the Battle of Akhaltsikhe. This happened in a far away land called Georgia, which is not the same thing as the place where peaches come from.
Back then, two big empires were fighting for control of Georgia. One of those empires was ruled by a king named Ibrahim Pasha. He was in charge of a big army that was trying to take over a fortress called Akhaltsikhe. The other empire was ruled by a queen named Ekaterine. She had her own army that was trying to defend the fortress from the king's army.
The king's army was very strong and had lots of cannons and guns. These were big weapons that could shoot very far and hurt a lot of people. On the other hand, the queen's army was not as strong, but they were very brave and knew how to fight well.
When the two armies met at Akhaltsikhe, they started fighting each other. The queen's army had a plan to surprise the king's army by hiding in the mountains and attacking from behind. This was a smart plan because it caught the king's army off guard.
