Battle of Bagdoura

The Battle of Bagdoura was a big fight that happened long ago in a place called Morocco. Just imagine a really big fight between two groups of people, like a playground fight but with swords and horses instead of fists and kicks.

On one side, there were the people who lived in Morocco, called the Moroccans, who wanted to protect their land from the other group who were called the Portuguese. The Portuguese wanted to take over Morocco and make it theirs.

The battle happened in a big field called Bagdoura. Imagine a really big playground where both sides had to fight to win. There were swords and spears and arrows flying all around, and people fighting on horses too!

The Moroccans were very brave and fought hard, even though they were outnumbered by the Portuguese. But they had a secret weapon called the 'Gnawa' which made the Portuguese soldiers feel like they were being attacked by ghosts. This made them really scared and some even ran away!

At the end of the battle, the Moroccans won and the Portuguese soldiers had to retreat, which means they had to go back to their own country. The Moroccans were very happy that they protected their land and their people from the attackers.
