Bayes classifier

Hey kiddo, do you know about classifiers? They are like helpers which helps in identifying objects. Bayes classifier is one of the types of classifiers.

It is like a trained detective who helps us identify objects based on their characteristics. Let's say we have some fruit and we want to classify it as either an apple or a banana.

The Bayes classifier takes into account the different characteristics of the fruit, like its color, shape, texture, etc. and makes a decision based on the probability of the fruit being an apple or a banana.

For example, if the fruit is red in color and round shape, the classifier will see that these characteristics are more common in apples than bananas. So, the classifier will decide that the fruit is more likely to be an apple than a banana.

The Bayes classifier works by using a mathematical formula called Bayes’ theorem, which calculates the probability of an event based on the prior knowledge of conditions that might be related to the event.

In simpler terms, it’s like taking a guess and then refining it based on more information as and when you get it.

So, the Bayes classifier is just like a smart detective who looks at all the clues and gives a final decision based on the probability of certain characteristics being associated with a particular object.
