Beaker (drinkware)

A beaker is a special cup that scientists use to hold, mix, and measure liquids. It looks like a drinking glass but it is much different. Beakers are made out of glass or plastic and come in different sizes. The beaker has a flat bottom so it can stand up by itself and a little spout on the top so liquids can be poured easily. It also has markings on the side that show how much liquid is inside. Scientists use beakers so they can mix chemicals together and see how they react. Beakers are really useful tools for scientists.
