Beaux-Arts architecture

Beaux-arts architecture is a fancy way of building super pretty and fancy buildings that look like they belong in a history book. Beaux-arts is French for "fine arts", which means that this type of architecture wants to show off how beautiful and elegant buildings can be.

People who do beaux-arts architecture follow a bunch of fancy rules to make everything look super symmetrical and balanced. They love to add lots of decorations and art to their buildings to make them look special and unique. Sometimes, they even mix different styles together to make something totally new and cool.

Some famous beaux-arts buildings are the Grand Central Terminal in New York City and the Paris Opera House in France. These buildings look like they came straight out of a fairytale with all their fancy details and colorful decorations!
