Beaver dam

Beaver dams are built by beavers to protect themselves from predators and create a safe place for their families to live. They make the dams by building walls with sticks and logs in streams and rivers. The dams slow down the water, causing it to collect and form a pond. This helps beavers to live in the area, find food, and keep warm during the cold weather. The dams also create habitats for other animals and plants.
