Beedi

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of a cigarette? Well, a beedi is kind of like a cigarette, but it's different in a few ways.

First, instead of being made of paper, the outside of a beedi is made of a special kind of leaf called a tendu leaf. This leaf is usually grown in India and is dried and rolled up into a tube shape.

Second, instead of using a filter like a cigarette, a beedi has a tiny piece of string tied around one end to keep the tobacco inside.

Finally, the tobacco inside a beedi is different from the tobacco inside a cigarette. It's usually less processed and has more flavor.

Beedis are popular in India and other parts of South Asia. Some people think they're less harmful than cigarettes, but they're still not good for you, especially if you smoke them regularly. It's important to stay away from smoking and take care of your lungs!
