Beehive shelf

Okay, so imagine that you have a really big container filled with honey bees. These bees love to build their homes in little compartments that look like little hexagons, kind of like a slice of honeycomb.

Now, as a beekeeper, you want to make it easy for the bees to build their homes while also making it easy for you to check on them and collect the yummy honey they make.

This is where a beehive shelf comes in! It's like a really big shelf with a lot of compartments that are just the right size for the bees to build their homes in.

It's usually made out of wood or other strong materials because bees can be pretty heavy and need a sturdy place to build their homes.

You put the beehive shelf somewhere safe outside where the bees have access to plants and flowers to collect nectar from. The bees will fly in and out of their little hexagonal homes, building their honeycombs and making delicious honey.

When it's time to collect the honey, you can take off one of the compartments and carefully remove the honeycomb. Then, you can take out the yummy honey and put the compartment back where it belongs.
