ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Belarus

Belarus is a country located in Europe, kind of like a big playground for grown-ups. Just like how you have rules and teachers at school, Belarus has a leader, called a president, who makes rules for everyone to follow.

Belarus used to be part of a bigger country called the Soviet Union, but in the 90s it became its own independent country.

People in Belarus speak a language called Belarusian, kind of like how you speak English. They also use a different money called Belarusian ruble, which is like the money you use to buy toys or snacks at the store.

In Belarus, people have jobs and go to work just like grown-ups do. They have different shops and restaurants for people to go to.

Belarus is known for its beautiful architecture, like big buildings and churches that look really pretty.

Sometimes, people in Belarus aren't very happy with their leader or the rules he makes. They might want things to be different, like how you might not always like the rules your parents make at home. But they still have to follow the rules until things change.

Overall, Belarus is a country with its own government, language, money, and culture.
