Bencher

A bencher is a special tool that helps you do something called benchwork. It's kind of like a table that you can use to hold things steady while you work on them.

Imagine you're helping your dad build a birdhouse, but you keep dropping nails and the wood keeps wobbling around. That's where the bencher comes in! It has a flat surface that you can use to hold the wood in place, and tiny clamps that you can use to hold the nails while you hammer them in.

Bencher can also be used by jewelers and watchmakers, to hold small pieces while they work on them. They can use the clamps to hold tiny gems or screws while they use their special tools to work on them.

So basically, a bencher is a handy tool that makes it much easier to work on things like birdhouses or jewelry, by holding them steady while you work on them.
