Benjamin Constant railway

Okay kiddo, so imagine a very long road that goes from one town to another. But instead of cars driving on it, big trains run on it. This road, or railway as we call it, is called the Benjamin Constant Railway.

Now, this railway is very important because it connects two important places in Brazil called Porto Velho and Humaitá. But the catch is, these two places are separated by a dense forest called the Amazon rainforest which is very difficult to travel through.

So, the Benjamin Constant Railway was built to make it easier and faster to transport goods and people between Porto Velho and Humaitá, while also having less impact on the environment than a regular road.

But building this railway was not easy, it took many years and lots of hard work to construct it through the dense forest, over rivers and across mountains. Many people worked together to make it happen.

Nowadays, the Benjamin Constant Railway is still used by trains to transport goods and people between the two places, helping to connect communities and help with the economy.
