Have you ever had a drink out of a can? It's a metal cylinder that can hold a drink like soda or juice.

The can is made out of something called aluminum, which is a kind of metal that is really light and also strong. It's kind of like how your toy car might be made out of plastic, but a toy monster truck might be made out of something that's both strong and not too heavy.

When you drink from a can, there's a little tab you can pull up to make a small hole in the top of the can. That lets the drink out so you can take a sip. The top of the can is also shaped in a way that makes it easy to drink from without spilling your drink everywhere.

When you're done with your drink, you can recycle the can. That means the can gets melted down into tiny pieces and turned into something new, like another can, or even something else entirely! That's why it's important to recycle cans so that we can make new things without using up all the metal we have.
