Bharhut

Okay, so imagine a long time ago in a place called India there was this really cool thing called Bharhut. It was like a special playground for grown-ups where people would go to pray and tell stories.

Bharhut was made of rocks and there were these special pictures and designs carved into the rocks. They were like little pictures that told stories about people and animals and gods.

People would go to Bharhut and walk around looking at the pictures and telling stories to each other. It was kind of like a museum mixed with a library mixed with a church.

Even though Bharhut is really old, lots of people still think it is special and important today. It helps us learn about and understand the history and beliefs of the people who created it long ago.
