ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bibliodiversity

Bibliodiversity means that there are many different types of books in the world. Just like there are many different types of animals and plants, there are many different types of books too. Some are big and long, some are small and short. Some have lots of pictures, some have only words. Some are written in one language, some are written in many different languages.

Bibliodiversity is important because it means that everyone can find a book they like, no matter who they are or where they come from. Just like people are different, books are different too. And that's okay! It's good to have a lot of choices because it means that people can learn about different things and have new experiences by reading different books.

So, bibliodiversity is like having a big toy box full of lots of different toys. Each toy is different and special in its own way. Just like each book is different and special in its own way.
