Bicycle theft

Alright kiddo, I'll explain bicycle theft to you in a way you'll understand!

You know how sometimes you leave your toys outside and when you come back, they're gone? Well, the same thing happens with bikes. You might lock your bike up outside while you're playing in the park, and when you come back, it's not there anymore! This is called bike theft.

Sometimes people steal bikes because they want to ride them themselves, but a lot of times, they steal them to sell. They might try to sell the bike to someone else or take it to a pawn shop where they can exchange it for money.

That's why it's really important to lock your bike up really well when you leave it outside. You can use a special lock that goes around both the bike and a secure object like a bike rack or a pole. This makes it much harder for someone to steal your bike.

It's also a good idea to write down the serial number of your bike and take a picture of it before you leave it outside. That way, if it does get stolen, you can report it to the police and give them as much information as possible to try and get it back.

So, always remember to lock up your bike well and keep an eye on it so it doesn't get stolen!
