Bill of lading

A bill of lading is a very important piece of paper that is used when goods are transported from one place to another, like when you send your toys to your cousin's house by mail.

It is like a special passport for your toys. It has information like their names, what they look like, how many there are, and where they are going. It also has some rules and promises that everyone who handles the toys has to follow, like keeping them safe and making sure they get to the right place on time.

Sometimes, the bill of lading is also used to show that the toys have been paid for by the person sending them, or that they will be paid for when they get to their destination.

So, just like your toys need their passport to travel safely, shipment of goods need their bill of lading to go from one place to another safely and smoothly.
