The Binet equation is a way to figure out how many numbers are in a certain sequence. It uses a formula that takes two numbers from the sequence, called the "start" number and the "end" number. Then, it adds them together, and divides that sum by two. That number it gives you is the number of numbers in the sequence. For example, if a sequence has the start number 3 and the end number 7, the Binet equation would look like this: (3 + 7) / 2 = 5. The answer would be 5 - so the sequence has 5 numbers in it.
