Biocoenosis is a word used to describe a type of community where different kinds of living things, from animals and plants to microorganisms, all live together in the same place. This is sometimes called a "biological community". The word comes from two terms, "bios" which means "life" and "coenosis" which means "living together." When all these different types of living things come together, they form an ecosystem and work together to sustain each other.
