ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Biometric id card

A biometric ID card is like a normal ID card, but it also has special technology that can tell who you are using your body as identification. It has a lot of tiny sensors and measures differences in things like your face, fingerprints, retinas and other body parts. It then compares these measurements to a secure database to make sure you are the correct person. This way, nobody else can use your ID to pretend to be you. It's like a secret code that is only known to you!
