Biostasis

Biostasis is a type of technology that helps keep living organisms alive in extreme conditions, like in deep space or in extreme heat or cold. It works by slowing down the body's processes, like the heartbeat and breathing, to help them survive in conditions that might otherwise be impossible. For example, if an astronaut was doing a long space mission, biostasis could help them stay alive by slowing down their metabolism and other body functions so they don't use up all their air and food supplies too quickly.
