ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bird-skyscraper collisions

When birds fly high up in the sky, they sometimes accidentally crash into big buildings called skyscrapers. This is because the buildings are so tall that birds might not see them coming, or they might get confused by the lights. It's kind of like when you accidentally walk into a wall because you're not paying attention or if your path is blocked.

This can be a big problem for birds because they can get hurt or even die from these collisions. People are trying to find ways to help birds avoid flying into skyscrapers, like putting up special stickers or making the windows a little bit harder for birds to see through. We can all help by being careful around birds and by being mindful of how our buildings might affect them.
