ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bitemporal hemianopsia

Bitemporal hemianopsia is when you have trouble seeing things on the left and right sides of your eyes, but only towards the middle. Imagine you have two circles in front of you like two big doughnuts. Your eyes can only see the parts of the doughnuts in the front and in the middle. But you can't see the parts on the far left and far right sides of the doughnuts. This can happen if your brain or your eyes have a problem. Sometimes it can be fixed with glasses or surgery, other times it cannot.
