The Black Ivy League are a group of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the United States. These schools are some of the best and most prestigious universities in the country and they were the first to open their doors to African-American students. The names of these prestigious schools are Howard University, Spelman College, Morehouse College, Hampton University, Fisk University, and Tuskegee University. These schools have been ranked as some of the best and most respected universities in the country and have helped many African-Americans pursue higher education and obtain successful careers. These institutions have produced leaders in almost every field, including world-renowned doctors, lawyers, politicians, and entrepreneurs.
