Black genocide is a term used to describe a very painful period in history when many black people were killed and discriminated against. During this time, many black people were taken from their African homes and brought to the United States and other countries as slaves. Slavery was a system where white people made black people do hard labor and were treated very poorly. After slavery ended, black people still faced a lot of discrimination and violence. Many black people were lynched, murdered, or treated unfairly. This history of violence and discrimination against black people is sometimes called black genocide.
