Black tax is extra money that Black people and people of color have to pay to be treated the same as white people. This happens in a lot of different ways. For example, Black people may have to pay higher prices for products or services than white people do. This means that Black people end up spending more money than white people because of their skin color. Black people may also have to take jobs that pay less than similar jobs that white people can get. This can mean that Black people have to work harder or for longer hours to make the same amount of money as white people.
