Bladud

Bladud was a mythical king from a long, long time ago in a place called Britain. He was said to have special powers and be very wise. One day, he got sick with a terrible disease called leprosy. In those days, there was no cure for leprosy and people were very afraid of anyone who had it because they thought it was contagious.

Bladud was very sad and scared. He decided to leave his kingdom and go out into the world to find a cure for his sickness. He traveled far and wide and eventually came across a group of pigs who were also sick. He noticed that the pigs were rolling around in warm, muddy water, and he thought maybe this could help him too.

So Bladud found a hot spring and started soaking in it every day, just like the pigs. Over time, he noticed his leprosy getting better and eventually completely went away. He was so grateful to the pigs and the hot spring that he decided to build a town around it. This town eventually became known as Bath, and it is still a popular tourist destination today because of the hot spring.

So, in summary, Bladud was a wise king who got sick with leprosy. He traveled the world looking for a cure and found it by watching pigs roll around in hot, muddy water. He established a town around the hot spring and called it Bath.
