Bloch wave – MoM method

Alright kiddo, have you ever heard of waves? They're like the ripples in a pool of water when you throw a stone in. But did you know that there are waves that we can't see with our eyes? Waves that are so small they're called micro-waves! These micro-waves are used in many different things like cell phones and TVs.

Now, Bloch waves are a special kind of micro-wave that move through crystals. Think of a crystal like a really big puzzle made up of tiny pieces called atoms. Bloch waves can move through the crystal because they're made up of tiny bits of energy that travel between the atoms.

But the way Bloch waves move is tricky, so scientists use something called the Mom method to figure it out. The Mom method is like a puzzle game where they try to fit the Bloch wave into the crystal like a puzzle piece.

They use special math to help them figure it all out, kind of like when you do math problems in school. It can be hard work, but it helps scientists understand how Bloch waves move and how they can be used in technology.

So, in short, Bloch waves are tiny waves that move through crystals, and scientists use the Mom method to figure out how they move.
