ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Block voting

Okay, let's imagine you and your friends are trying to decide what game to play at recess. You each have different games you want to play, but you also want to make sure that everyone is happy with the final choice.

Block voting is when you and some of your friends get together and agree to all vote for the same game. That way, if there are enough of you, your block of votes will be bigger than any other block of votes for a different game.

For example, let's say there are 10 kids in your class and 5 of you really want to play tag. Instead of each of you voting for tag individually, you agree to all vote for tag. This means that even if the other 5 kids all vote for different games, tag will win because your block of votes is bigger.

Block voting can be a helpful way for a group of people to make sure their voices are heard and they get what they want. But it's also important to remember to listen to others and consider what they want too. After all, it's not very fun if only one person gets to choose the game every day.
