Blood meal

Okay kiddo, so you know how you eat food to give your body energy and grow big and strong? Well, animals need to eat food too! And some animals (like cows and pigs) like to eat plants, while others (like mosquitoes and ticks) like to eat blood.

When these blood-eating animals suck blood from another animal (like us humans), they digest the blood and turn it into a nutrient-rich liquid called blood meal. The blood meal is full of important things like proteins, iron, and other vitamins and minerals.

And guess what? Farmers actually use blood meal too! They will buy the blood meal from companies that make it (from leftover animal blood at slaughterhouses) and use it to feed their crops. This helps the crops grow big and healthy because they are getting all those important nutrients from the blood meal.

So, blood meal is kind of like a special treat for some animals, and it can even help our food grow better!
