Blue Norther (weather)

A blue norther is when the weather outside gets cold and windy really really fast! It almost feels like a big gust of wind is pushing all the warm air out of the way and replacing it with cold air. This can happen really quickly and catch people off guard. It's called a blue norther because it can make the sky look really blue and clear after all the clouds get blown away by the wind. So if you hear someone say "watch out for the blue norther!" it means to be prepared for a sudden change in weather where it gets very cold and windy very quickly.
