Blue carbon

Blue Carbon is a type of carbon (carbon means a molecule that stores energy) that is found in oceans and coastal areas. It is important because it helps to store carbon dioxide (a type of gas) in the ocean and coastal areas, which prevents it from going into the atmosphere. When carbon dioxide is in the atmosphere, it can cause global warming and climate change. The carbon stored in Blue Carbon helps to keep the temperature of the Earth from increasing too much.
