Blue collar

Blue collar is a term that refers to people who work with their hands doing physical labor jobs, like construction workers or mechanics. It comes from the fact that these workers typically wear blue work shirts or jumpsuits as part of their uniform.

These jobs usually don't require a lot of fancy education or training beyond basic skills like being able to use tools and lift heavy things. They're important because they help build and maintain things like buildings, roads, and cars that we use every day.

Blue collar workers often work long hours and sometimes in uncomfortable or dangerous conditions, but they can also take pride in knowing that they're making a tangible contribution to society.
