The board of editors in the life sciences, also known as BELS, is a group of people who make sure that scientific articles about life sciences are accurate and easy to understand. They look at things like grammar, spelling, and the overall organization of the article. Just like how your teacher looks over your homework to make sure you did it correctly, the BELS board looks over scientific articles to make sure they're correct and make sense. This helps scientists and doctors to be able to learn from the articles and to use what they learn to help people stay healthy and feel better.
