Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a mental health disorder that can make someone worry a lot about how they look. People who have BDD might compare themselves to others or look in the mirror for a long time, fixating on certain features like their nose, skin, hair, or body size. They might also use a lot of makeup, change clothes often, or do many cosmetic procedures to try and make themselves look “perfect.” Over time, these thoughts and behaviors can be very distressing and make it hard to enjoy everyday activities.
