ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Body of Christ

So, the Body of Christ is like a big group of people who believe in and follow Jesus. It's like when you go to church and there are lots of other people there who also love Jesus and want to learn more about him.

But sometimes, people use the term "Body of Christ" to mean something even more special - they mean that when they take communion, which is when they eat a little piece of bread and drink a little bit of juice, they believe that it symbolizes Jesus' body and blood. So when they take communion together, they are all sharing in this special connection with Jesus and with each other. It's kind of like when you and your friends all share a snack together - it feels like you're all part of one big group.

So ultimately, the Body of Christ is like a big family of people who love Jesus and share in his teachings and his sacrifice.
