Bohr and Einstein were two very smart scientists who disagreed about a big idea. Imagine Boomer and Einstein are playing a game of catch with a ball, but they can't see each other or the ball. Boomer thinks that the ball only exists when they catch it, but Einstein thinks the ball exists all the time, even when they can't see it. These two different ideas are kind of like how they disagreed about atoms.
Bohr believed that atoms were unpredictable and that you couldn't always know what they were going to do. Einstein had another idea, he believed that atoms followed rules and that it was possible to always know what they would do.
They both had good reasons for thinking this way, but they couldn't come to an agreement. It was kind of like if you and your friend both believed you were right, but you just couldn't decide who was correct. So, they had a lot of debates to try and figure it out.
Eventually, scientists discovered that some things about atoms were predictable and some weren't. Bohr and Einstein were both kind of right! But their debates were still important because they helped scientists learn more about atoms and how they work.
