This is where the Bollandists come in! They are like super-smart book detectives who study these old books and try to figure out what they really mean. They look at things like who wrote the book, when it was written, and what was happening in the world at that time. They also look at other old books and documents to see if they can find any clues that will help them understand the confusing parts.

Once the Bollandists have figured out what the old book really means, they write it down in a new way that is easier for people today to understand. This is called a translation, and it's like putting the old book into a new language so people today can read it and learn from it.

The Bollandists have been doing this for a very long time, almost 400 years! They have studied thousands of old books and written down what they mean so that people today can still learn from them. That's why they are really important to the history of books and learning!
