ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bolt rope

A bolt rope is like a rope that is sewn into the edge of a big piece of cloth, called a sail, which is used on boats to catch the wind and make the boat move. It helps to keep the sail in place and helps it to stay attached to the mast (which is like a big pole that holds up the sail). Think of it like a really strong and sturdy shoelace that keeps the sail tied to the boat!
