Bombing of Tokyo

Okay kiddo, during World War II, there was a big fight between Japan and the countries who wanted to stop them from fighting. One of these countries was the United States.

The United States decided to bomb the big city of Tokyo in Japan. They did this because they wanted to weaken Japan's ability to fight in the war.

The bombing was really scary and made a lot of people very sad. The bombs caused huge fires that burned down buildings and hurt a lot of people.

The attack happened at night, and it was very hard for people to see because of all the smoke and flames. The planes that dropped the bombs were called B-29s.

In total, there were two bombings of Tokyo by the United States during the war. They were very powerful and did a lot of damage to the city and the people who lived there. Many people lost their homes, their families, and their lives.

But eventually, the war came to an end and both sides were able to rebuild and try to make peace with each other.
