ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Bond order

Bond order is a way of measuring the strength of the chemical bond between two atoms. It tells us how many electrons are shared between the two atoms that form a bond. A bond order of 1 means that the two atoms are sharing 1 pair of electrons, a bond order of 2 means that they are sharing 2 pairs of electrons, and so on. The more electrons that are shared, the stronger the bond.
