Bonfire Night

Bonfire Night is a celebration that happens in some places on the 5th of November. It is also called Guy Fawkes Night or Fireworks Night. On this night, people gather around a bonfire and many people set off fireworks. The bonfire is built with wood, cardboard, and other materials that burn easily. People make a guy, which is a small figure made out of old clothes stuffed with newspaper, and place it on the bonfire. This is to remember a man named Guy Fawkes who wanted to blow up the houses of parliament in 1605. So people set off fireworks to celebrate the failure of the plan.
